Air Compressor Safety Operating Procedures
1. Preparation
The air compressor must be placed in a clean and ventilated environment, and debris must not be piled around it. It is strictly prohibited to store hazardous chemicals and flammable and explosive items, and ensure smooth escape routes.
2. Check the air compressor and safety alarm and control devices to ensure they are intact and effective. Safety inspections mainly include:
The protective covers of air compressor couplings, belts and other rotating parts, and the guardrails are not damaged or displaced;
The emergency stop button is intact;
Tighten caps, joints, etc., and do not place any objects in the back vent;
Check whether the pipes and cold dryer are intact and there are no leaks.
Check whether the pressure vessel of the gas storage tank and its safety device are intact; the pressure gauge is not damaged, the lead seal is intact, the detection mark is clear, and the red line mark is clear; the safety valve is not damaged, the lead seal is intact, and the detection mark is clear; the gas tank nameplate is clear and hanging The registration number is clear and the inspection mark is clear.
2. Operation stage
Start-up: After the air compressor is started, observe whether the panel display is normal and whether there are any problems with the phase sequence to prevent the host from being damaged by vacuuming. If there is an abnormal display on the PLC, the power should be cut off immediately and it can be used again after the fault is resolved.
Startup: When the air compressor is running, pay attention to observe whether the parameters are normal, whether the equipment has abnormal noise, whether there is oil leakage and oil shortage, and stop the machine immediately for inspection if necessary.
Shutdown: Press "Stop" (OFF) key. The air compressor needs to leak for a period of time before stopping. It is normal not to stop immediately, so do not perform other irrelevant operations.
Note that it is strictly prohibited to start the air compressor under pressure, otherwise the electrical components may be damaged due to excessive starting current. When starting, turn on the host first and then turn it on after about 1 minute; if there is an abnormal emergency, press the emergency stop button.
In addition, no maintenance work should be performed while the air compressor is running or there is pressure in the system. During operation, if there are abnormal sounds, burnt smell, vibration or leakage, cooling water interruption, if the exhaust pressure suddenly rises, etc., the machine should be stopped immediately for repairs.
3. Shutdown stage
After the air compressor is shut down and the pressure is released, the remaining air in the system should be discharged; after a period of shutdown, the oil and gas barrel should be shut down for a period of time and the oil cooler condensed water should be drained to avoid frost cracking damage and corrosion in low-temperature environments. If there is a fault before shutdown, maintenance should be performed before placing it to avoid safety accidents caused by future emergency use or misoperation.
4. Equipment stage
When maintaining the air compressor and after-treatment system, it is prohibited to use gasoline or kerosene to clean filters, cylinders and other compressed air pipeline components to prevent fires and explosions, and it is not allowed to burn oil in the pipelines. When cleaning parts with diesel or gasoline, there should be no fire or waste oil nearby. Oilcloths and oil drums should be disposed of properly and should not be thrown or dumped randomly.
Air compressors must take preventive measures, raise awareness of production safety, operate in compliance with regulations, and truly eliminate safety risks.
