For screw air compressors immersed in floods, they cannot be powered on directly after the water recedes. Before powering on, the following work needs to be done:

1. The machine head is immersed in water: first remove the air inlet valve. If sediment and other debris enter, make sure the head is disassembled and completely cleaned before reassembling. If there is less water, you can pour diesel or kerosene into the rotor to drain out the accumulated water, and then pour in engine oil to drain out the cleaning oil.

2. Screw air compressor inverter, controller and other electrical equipment are soaked in water: first open the inverter panel, wipe the inside of the inverter with a dry towel, and use a small hair dryer to dry the drive board, main board, lightning protection board, inverter mold and fan, etc. Wipe with washing water and alcohol, dry with a small hair dryer, and dry with hot air for about 1 hour. Do not turn on the clean and dry inverter immediately after installation. Wait half an hour after power-on and there are no abnormalities before turning on the inverter.

3. Water ingress into contactors, transformers, and switches: For contactors above 65°, remove the contactor, wipe the contact group and other original parts with washing board water and alcohol, dry them with a blower, and illuminate the coil with a bathtub bulb to prevent mud from entering. Clean mud, small contactors and small switches.

4. Water enters the motor and fan: Remove the motor end cover and clean the accumulated water. If there is sediment, be sure to clean it up and then blow dry with a hair dryer or dry at low temperature. Control the temperature at 50~70°C. Drying time is 8~14h. The drying temperature is 80~100℃, and the drying time is 1h. Small motors take a short time to dry, while large motors take a long time to dry.

Use a 500~1000V insulation resistance meter to measure the winding insulation resistance every hour. For the dried motor, the insulation resistance value should be greater than 5MΩ. If it is not reached, drying should continue.

In addition, the three filters and one oil of the screw air compressor also need to be replaced.
